WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection Standard

WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection Standard

WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection Standard is a centrally managed security solution designed for business endpoints. It protects workstations against malware, ransomware, phishing and other online threats while helping to keep the operating system and applications up to date. Protection is complemented by DeepGuard behavioural analysis, browsing protection, device control and network protection based on the Windows firewall.

WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection Standard provides multi-layered protection for business workstations against malware, ransomware, phishing and other security threats. The solution is centrally managed through the WithSecure Elements cloud service, allowing endpoint security status and protection settings to be managed from one place. DeepGuard DeepGuard is a proactive protection mechanism that complements traditional malware detection with behaviour-based analysis. It uses technologies such as heuristic analysis, machine learning and cloud-based intelligence to help identify new and previously unknown threats. DeepGuard monitors application behaviour and changes made to the system. The reputation of known applications can be verified using cloud-based information. When the safety of an application cannot be confirmed, its behaviour can be monitored for potentially malicious activity and blocked when necessary. This provides an additional layer of protection against new threats and zero-day attacks that may not yet be identifiable using traditional malware detection alone. Multi-layered Malware Protection Endpoint Protection combines multiple security technologies to identify and block malicious content. The protection is designed to stop viruses, ransomware, spyware and other malicious files before they can compromise the workstation or business data. Combining different detection and protection methods improves the ability to respond to both known malware and emerging threats. Software Updater Effective security depends on more than malware protection. Outdated operating systems and applications may contain known vulnerabilities that attackers can exploit. Software Updater helps keep Windows workstations and supported third-party applications up to date. Missing security updates can be identified and their installation managed centrally. Keeping software regularly updated reduces the attack surface and helps close known security vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. Browsing Protection Browsing Protection helps protect users against malicious websites, phishing attempts and other web-based threats. Website reputation information can be used to identify and block websites known to be harmful or unsafe. Browser extensions can also provide users with security information about websites and search results while browsing the internet. This helps users browse more safely and reduces the risk of visiting fraudulent login pages, phishing sites or websites distributing malicious content. Device Control External storage devices and other USB devices can introduce security risks to business workstations. They may be used to introduce malware into the environment or to transfer company information outside the workstation without appropriate control. Device Control allows the use of external devices to be restricted according to company security policies. For example, access to USB storage devices and other connected hardware can be controlled when required. Firewall Endpoint Protection works together with the built-in Windows firewall. By using the Windows firewall rule engine, network traffic can be controlled without introducing a separate overlapping firewall system on the workstation. Firewall rules can be used to restrict unnecessary or unwanted network traffic and reduce the workstation's exposure to network-based threats while maintaining compatibility with Windows and installed applications. Centralized Management One of the most important features for business environments is centralized management through the WithSecure Elements cloud service. Endpoint protection, security settings and the overall security status of workstations can be monitored and managed without having to administer every computer individually. MikroMike can assist with the deployment of Endpoint Protection, connecting workstations to centralized management, configuring security policies and providing technical support when problems occur. WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection Standard provides a manageable security foundation for business Windows workstations by combining malware protection, proactive threat prevention, software updates, safer web browsing, device control and firewall protection into a centrally managed solution.
